What are the benefits of dental implants?
There are many benefits of dental implants that make them an ideal tooth replacement option. Dental implants gradually integrate into your jawbone, which means they feel and work just like natural teeth without any of the hassles of dentures or other removable tooth replacement options.
Dr. Omaima Samain works to custom-craft your implants to match your natural teeth flawlessly. Dental implants never need to be removed for cleaning or for eating and they allow you to enjoy all the foods you love without concern. Best of all, dental implants require nothing more than a good brushing and flossing habit to keep them healthy and beautiful for a lifetime.
How painful is it to get dental implants?
At 1st Classic Dental, we are dedicated to keeping you comfortable during your procedure. Using sedation dentistry, we can ensure that you will have little to no pain during the procedure and remember very little about the surgery after its complete. However, you may experience some swelling and discomfort as you heal, and our Sun City dentist can prescribe medications to ease your soreness in days following surgery.
How long does the dental implants process take?
From start to finish the dental implant process takes several months completed in a series of appointments. It’s important to give you time to heal between every stage of the implant process to enhance durability and ensure that they last a lifetime. During this healing process, your new implant will integrate into the jawbone, creating a stable, strong root for your new implant. Once your mouth is fully healed, you’ll return to our office in Sun City to have permanent replacement teeth fitted.
How much will dental implants cost?
We understand that cost is a concern for many of our dental implants patients in the Sun City area. To help our current and prospective patients fit dental implants into their budgets, we work with your dental insurance as well as offering a number of dental implant financing options. Additionally, we accept CareCredit to help to make paying for your new smile as easy as possible. If you have any questions regarding insurance or financing options, contact our office today and our friendly staff will assist you.
I have dentures — can I still upgrade to dental implants?
There are two great options for patients who need dentures.
Teeth Next Day is a fixed implant-supported denture that can replace an entire arch of teeth. This is a wonderful option for those who haven’t worn dentures before and want a fully functional smile. The procedure is all done in one day, you go home with a temporary denture, and then come back the next day to have your permanent dentures attached.
Snap-in dentures are another option. These are fully removable and simply need to be snapped into place when you’re ready to wear them. Snap-in dentures are typically preferred by patients who are happy with their dentures but need a solution to better hold them in place.
Can a dental implant be placed the same day as extraction?
Dental implant treatment is different for every patient. Depending on your oral health, how many teeth are being restored, and other factors, it may be possible to place implants the same day as your extraction. If your oral health is in good enough condition, Dr. Omaima Samain may be able to extract and place your implants in one visit. This usually depends on the condition of your jawbone as well as your overall health. Schedule a consultation today to see if you are a candidate for same day dental implants.
If I have gum disease can I still get dental implants?
While those with gum disease might not immediately qualify for dental implants, treating the condition may restore your eligibility. Gums that are inflamed and infected due to gum disease can jeopardize the success of your dental implants and may cause bigger problems down the line. Luckily, supplementary treatments can help improve your chances of qualifying for dental implants.
